Cave of Skops Cage Strategy Guide: Cave of Skops

 

Crystal Palace

Cave Level 1

Cave Level 1

Blue spikeThere are 3 Electoon cages on this level.

  • Walk right along the very bottom of this level until you reach the tings in the form of a question mark. Retrace your steps and you'll see a blue steel spike. Punch it and get the power-up.Red rock
  • (1) Jump above the entrance sign and a moving red rock platform will appear on the other side of the wall. Make your way over to this rock and go up for a glove. Get the glove and a cage will appear at the entrance.
  • (2) Once you have your picture taken by the photographer, the second Electoon cage will appear on the other side of the wall.
  • (3) Ride the flying hooks until you see some hooks stacked vertically. Go up them, and get the lone ting on the left. You'll hear the magic noise signaling that the cage has just appeared.

There are 3 Electoon cages on this level. There is a magician on this level.

  • PlatformAt the beginning of this level you will jump on a series of rising and falling platforms. Follow the trails of tings to find the safe paths.
  • (1) After ride the second rising platform, look for a glove. Jump to touch the glove and the first cage appears.
  • (2) Watch for a falling platform with a ting beneath it. Drop down for the second cage.Red bug
  • Avoid the spikes that the bug throws after you by ducking just before they're about to touch you.
  • (3) After you pass the photographer, and jump past the three moving blue spikes, you will see a power-up hanging above a gulf. Make a long jump after it and you'll land on a series of stone steps with Antitoons. Go up on the steps to find a cloud.  Ride this cloud all the way to the right, but don't get off just yet. Return to the left on the cloud. Another cloud will have appeared. Ride the second cloud as it takes you to a narrow cavern (be prepared to duck) that holds the third Electoon cage of this level.
  • If you follow the flying hooks all the way to the top of the cavern, you'll find a free life.
  • Be careful once you land on the large falling platform near the end of this level. There is a lake at the bottom, so be prepared to jump off either to the left, where there is a magician, or to the right to get to the exit.

There is 1 Electoon cage on this level.

  • Joe will give you a firefly to light your way through the level.
  • Use your fist to punch in front of you so that you can see what obstacles may be ahead.
  • Once you get past the first few Antitoons and onto the cliff, a cloud will appear behind you. Jump on the cloud and it will lead to a life.
  • (1) When on the last of a series of four clouds, jump up to the cliff at the upper left of the screen. Crawl under the first set of spikes, then stand up before you reach the second set of spikes to trigger the appearance of a cage back to your right.

There are 3 Electoon cages on this level.

  • Walk carefully on this level because there are many spiked areas that can hurt Rayman.
  • (1) Blue spiked ballAfter the series of red spiked platforms that form a staircase, look for the lone ting guarded by three moving blue spiked balls.  Get the ting, then return to the right for the new red platforms that have appeared. Go up and grab the flying rings to get to the cage.
  • After you helicopter down the hill with spikes, go up for a free life.
  • After you get past the bouncing lava boulders guarding the power-up, look up and to the right for the photographer.
  • (2) Above the photographer a series of flying rings leads to the second cage and a free life.
  • Instead of returning to the photographer, you can get another free life if you make a long jump to the left from the leftmost flying ring.   Be ready to throw your fist to reach the free life.
  • (3) Above the treasure chest at the end of the level is a flying ring. You must run on the last slope above the treasure chest, jump and punch trying to reach the ring. If you miss, be careful not to fall on the exit sign by accident.

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • There are no Electoon cages on this level, but getting through it can still be a challenge.
  • Use your running power to try to outrun the bugs and the thorns they throw at you. Ducking when the thorns get near you may help.
  • Try crawling off the moving red rock and through the narrow cavern at the end.Space ship
  • Once you arrive at the electrical plug, use your fist to push the plug into the wall. Then jump on top of the space ship and it will take you to the exit.
  • While you are riding on the space ship you can move from side to side to try to avoid some of the obstacles.

Cave Level 6

There is 1 Electoon cages on this level.

  • On this level you get a chance ride the space ship with some very cool music playing in the background.
  • Make sure you punch all of the levers in your path or you'll never make it through this maze.
  • When you arrive at a point where you have a choice of two space ships, hop on the lower one which will take you to a free life. Another space ship will take you back to this same spot.
  • (1) Ride the space ship that takes you up towards the exit, but keep an eye out for a group of blue tings on a ledge on the left. When you see them, jump over and grab them and an Electoon cage will appear.

There is 1 Electoon cages on this level.

  • In this level you ride on top of the buoys in the water, sometimes with the help of a friendly fish. Watch out for the sharks!
  • (1) Walk to the right side of the island in the middle of this level and the cage will appear on the island to your left.
  • Jump on the first buoy after this island but then wait until you see the shark come and go. Once the shark leaves, then jump to the next buoy and be prepared to duck.Bouncing blue rock
  • If you are standing up, the sharks will jump for your head allowing you to duck under them. If you remain ducking, however, the sharks will jump for your body and knock you into the water where you’ll be shark bait.
  • If you are on the bouncing blue rock, you can jump up and down on it and stay high enough so that the sharks won't even notice you.

Cave Level 8

Cave Level 8

There are 6 Electoon cages on this level.

  • (1) At the entrance drop off the platform and walk to the left. Clouds appear above the water to the right of the entrance sign. The cage is on a rock platform with spikes. Instead of jumping on the rock, jump on the last cloud and quickly hit the cage.
  • (2) The cage is just to the left of the photographer. Don't forget to have your picture taken!
  • (3) Get the power-up near photographer. Flying rings appear to the left of the photographer's platform. Follow the rings to the cage.
  • (4) Before jumping down the spiked hill, let yourself fall down with the platform just to the left of the top of the hill. A cloud will be there to catch you and the cage is just to your right.
  • (5) At the bottom of the spiked hill is a tiny rock platform in the water. It is directly below the flying hook. Carefully jump on the rock platform and the cage appears at the bottom of the spiked hill.
  • (6) At the exit you will see some sparkles near the wall on the left. Jump at the sparkles. A disappearing cloud will be there to catch you and a flying ring appears above the exit sign. Grab the flying ring and the cage will be behind the exit sign.

Cave Level 9

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • This level requires patience and practice. Luckily it is considered a "boss level", so once you pass it you don't have to repeat the level next time through.Skops
  • After Skops wakes up, he will hit the ground causing one of the five red crystalline platforms to drop into the lava. Then he will shoot out his claw and repeat the pattern again.
  • When he fires his claw, jump straight up over it. Once you land, wait a second, then jump again. His claw should go right under you.
  • Repeat until there are only two platforms left. When Skops smacks the ground this time, leap over to him and he will back away.
  • Jump over his claw in the familiar pattern and wait for him to smack the ground again.
  • Once he does, walk off the edge of the platform and do an about-face so that you grab onto the edge.
  • Skops will then walk back. Jump back up on the platform. Skops will then smack the ground again. Repeat hanging off the edge until he smacks the ground three times.
  • Then run after him when he backs away because the lava will start rising.
  • Leap onto the leftmost platform.
  • Skops will shoot the first two platforms. As he fires at the third, jump at him and run again. Grab the flying ring to avoid the rising lava.
  • Swing over to the exit sign.

Cave Level 10

There are no Electoon cages on this level.

  • Now it's time to go one-on-one with Skops.
  • You can hurt Skops only while he is shooting the fireballs at you.
