Mr. Dark's Dare
There are no Electoon cages in Mr. Dark's
Chateau levels. You may also find that the cheat codes do not work here!
Cake Level 1
|
- This level is pretty straightforward. Rayman hops
onto a spoon and slides down icing covered hills. There are no enemies to fight and no
electoon cages to find.
- Just make sure you have picked up enough speed to
make it up the hills. You go faster when you are in contact with the icing; so make your
jumps short and land just at the beginning of the next cliff to maximize your speed.

Cake Level 2
- In this level, Mr. Dark creates an evil Rayman whose
touch you must avoid. Try to stay as far ahead of Rayman as possible, but remember, if he
does catch up to you, it is possible to jump over him and gain some more time. Hint - it
is not how fast you run, but how quickly you make your jumps and moves.
- There is a free life under the icing covered small
platforms. Watch for the clouds under the platforms.
- In the middle of this level, there is a chasm in
which you will fall following the trail of tings. There is a pile of cherries on the right
side of the chasm, and no obvious way to escape. If you touch the left wall, clouds will
appear on the right side of the chasm.
- There is a second free life if you jump over the
second trail of tings leading down into a chasm and continue going up.
- The exit sign will appear if you go all the way to
the right edge of this level and touch it.
Cake Level 3
- Mr. Dark places a spell on Rayman which reverses is
left/right directions. This will last until halfway through the level.
- After the photographer, look down to find a wall
made of cherries. Drop down to the left of the wall, and a free life appears to the right
of the cherries. Retrace your steps back to the photographer.
- Mr. Dark is lurking in wait after the third
photographer. His spell forces Rayman to run.
- Watch for a power-up on an upper path of chocolate.

Cake Level 4
- You now have the opportunity to meet Mr. Dark face
to face.
- He has stolen your power to throw your fist. Hang in
there and your friends the Electoons will bring it back.
- Stay between the balls of fire, even when they
begin to shrink on you.
Cake Level 5
- This is the final level of Rayman and you get to
fight three bosses.
- The first boss, half Skops and half stone, is only
vulnerable when he throws his claw at you. Jump over the claw and punch him in the head.
- Next, you will encounter two Space Mama's. Try to
stay towards the middle and duck when one of them shoots so that they fire upon each
other.
- Finally, the third hybrid, a combination of Moskito,
Space Mama and Mr. Sax, will appear and shrink you. Stay near his feet. Each time he jumps
in the air, use your running power to avoid getting stepped on, jump in the air before he
hits the ground, and punch him in the head.
With the three bosses defeated, the dastardly Mr. Dark is
vanquished and all the little Electoons can live happily ever after.
